5 POUNDS IN 10 DAYS

Last week and part of this week, I've been doing a 10 day pledge to eat no highly processed foods. The results are that I have lost a stubborn 5 pounds that I've been trying to lose FOREVER with no success. In addition, I feel better - more energy and better sleep. The 10 day pledge was from the web site http://100daysofrealfood.com. It's been amazing. I am not hungry. I eat all day honestly. On this lifestyle change (which is the true goal), you can eat anything that grows or is real food such as: any natural/organic meats, and fruit or vegetable, any whole grain bread, nuts, dried fruit, real milk, real cheese, honey, real maple syrup, tea, coffee, wine, hummus, beans, eggs, etc. You cannot eat what I call 'fake' foods or processed foods such as: cheetos, any white sugar, sugar substitute (although I cheated with stevia), white bread, cupcakes, cakes, pies, koolaid, soda, fast food, sausage links, shredded cheese in a package, etc.

Here is a list of what I ate during this 10 day pledge:

Spinach Stuffed Mushrooms
Chicken N Noodles (whole wheat pasta)
White Chicken Chilli
Real Popcorn
Chicken Fajitas (whole wheat tortilla)
Cream of Wheat
Hamburger (Whole Grain Bread) + Sweet Potato Fries (Baked)
Lots of Fruit - Apples, Oranges, Bananas, Strawberries
Lots of Water
Almond Milk
Tea With Real Honey
Raisins and Almonds (Made my own trail mix)

This is not very different from what I normally eat which makes me realize that cutting out the sugar is what gave me the great results. So for those looking to lose weight or feel better, try it out.

Peace, Love and ZUMBA!!!

JOIN US - ZUMBA CLASSES

I am a zumba instuctor in Dayton, OH. I began doing zumba in 2008 when I joined a fitness club. The classes were so intense that I had to take a break about half way thru just to catch my breath. After doing it weekly for about a year, I no longer had to take a break. In fact, I was in the front with the instructor. By 2009, I was helping to lead songs and even teaching some on my own. In 2010, I became a zumba instructor. I taught classes once a week at my job. Then I began renting different locations to teach my own classes. I am currently at Janice Ward Center in Clayton, OH. Classes are only $3 pp. My motto is sweat, sweat, sweat and have fun, fun, fun!!!!! It's a party atmosphere. My class is open to all who wish to participate.
